How are the products shipped? Most of the flooring is shipped via freight services due to the large size and weight of these materials. Some small items such as cleaners, trims, and small area rugs may be shipped via UPS or FedEx. Because we have well established relationships with the freight carriers, they give us discount rates which are passed on to our customers, giving you the best rates possible. How do I know what the shipping costs are? You can call us at 1-866-356-6789 and ask one of our sales people to give you a quote on shipping for the items you are looking at. Also, if you use the shopping cart system in our website to purchase your new flooring, the shopping cart will automatically check the shipping rates and give you a choice between three different freight companies. Shipping options The lowest rate is available when you pick up your order at the freight terminal in your area. It can be shipped to a business that has a loading dock, and can even be shipped to your door. We offer very competitive rates for these services as well. When your order arrives.... 1. Inspect the merchandise for any damage, or shortage of the product. On the rare event that there is any damage or missing items, be sure to note this on the delivery receipt and make sure you get a copy. DO NOT LET THE DRIVER LEAVE UNTIL THIS IS DONE. Freight claims cannot be accepted without this receipt. CALL US RIGHT AWAY so that we can take steps to remedy the problem. 2. Make sure you are home when delivery is made. 3. You will need to be able to help unload the materials from the truck, have someone there that can help. 4. Double-check everything, including the number of items you are receiving compared to what is listed on the bill of lading. 5. Once you have unloaded, your flooring will need to be put in the area in which it is to be installed. This gives the new flooring time to acclimate to the temperature of that area. Do not refuse a shipment without calling us first, otherwise you will be billed for freight charges and any applicable restocking fees. Items damaged in transit We want each and every customer to enjoy their shopping experience with us and we do everything possible to make that happen. Unfortunately, when the materials leave our loading dock, we don't have control over what happens to them on the way to your location. We use the most reputable shipping companies, and normally everything goes smoothly. However, on rare occasions, something is damaged in transit. Be sure to follow the steps listed above when your order arrives. If you do receive product that has been damaged, be assured that we will send out another shipment to you IMMEDIATELY to replace what has been damaged, and we will do so at no extra cost to you. Note: Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping damaged merchandise back to AffordaFloors.com if the damage is not noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery, and the damaged merchandise must be returned prior to the replacement merchandise being sent out. Any claims for flooring that was damaged in transit must be settled within 90 days of delivery. Cancellations 1. No refunds will be made on discontinued merchandise. 2. In the event that you need to cancel your order please contact us within 24 hrs of placing the order. 3. All cancellations are subject to a 25% restocking fee. 4. If the order has already shipped, you will be responsible for all freight charges incurred, including the return of the merchandise. Returns You may return any or all of your order for any reason within 15 days of delivery. Cartons must be factory sealed. When returning any cartons, please wrap or box the cartons. Do not affix any return labels directly to the product cartons (Cartons cannot be resold or returned to the manufacturer if any labels are on the product cartons). You will be responsible for all freight charges incurred. There may be a restocking fee of 15% to 25% depending on the manufacturer. NOTE REGARDING MOHAWK PRODUCTS: Mohawk will not accept returns smaller than 4 cartons.
